They were speaking like we were ghosts. 

I was silent, observing the scene unfolding before me.

My two men colleagues were speaking to each other, ignoring my senior colleague completely, trying to say a word.

I was an observer, and what I could see wasn’t rosy-pinky-glory. 

As a Director of our team, she struggled to interrupt their debate and make herself heard.

I felt sorry for her because it happened to me in the past. It was like entering an arena and feeling invisible.

However, she finally managed to make herself heard and bring closure to the discussion.

My takeaway from this, gorgeous?

No matter your position, making your voice heard in corporate is challenging for any woman.

But when you understand how they think, you have leverage for life, and you can progress at the pace you want without fighting for attention and space.
