Gorgeous,
One of the words I heard recently is impact.
It’s something you may want or desire.
The truth is, it’s one of the aspects of your work that you don’t see immediately.
It’s like being so wrapped in your world that you believe you don’t have any.
But I believe you have, and this is a start.
Impact starts with unwavering faith in yourself and what you do.
Without expectation of something in return
Without a hidden agenda
Without manipulation
It comes from a place of high-level service, excellence and authenticity.
Consistently
Compassionately
Persistently
The result? This impact will unfold before your eyes beautifully.
This is what I experienced with my client Amy. I let you read her words.
“1) Out of all the coaches in the world, why did you choose to work with me?
I had enjoyed previous experiences working with coaches on certain issues, like nutrition and movement, but I found that I was not making the progress that I wanted to see, overall, in my life.
At the time that I was choosing a new coach, I chose you because you were speaking a lot about visibility, being seen and acknowledged in spaces, and I felt like that was really where I was lacking in both my personal and professional lives. I was not making myself visible in a way in which I was being seen or acknowledged, and I needed help, in a holistic manner, with both my personal AND professional lives.
I chose to work with you, out of all the coaches in the world, and it was a world-wide search, especially since you’re based in London and I’m on the west coast of the United States, because, after speaking to you, I knew we connected and I knew you could help me in the holistic way that I needed help.
(2) Did you have any challenges, frustrations, fears or concerns prior to working with me?
My biggest fear prior to working with you was that I would not see my own individual progress because, in working with other coaches, I had not seen any progress in myself or on my journey.
I felt stagnant a lot of the time after working with a certain coach for six months or a year, and I wondered why I spent the money working with that coach, especially if it was on a dedicated subject matter, like the aforementioned nutrition and movement. It’s frustrating to work with a coach and NOT see any results.
(3) Were those resolved? And if so, how?
Yes, my fears of not seeing my own individual progress or results were resolved. You regularly provide me with an updated handbook of my progress and/or an email recap of our calls, which includes inspiring words, meditations, and links to resources.
This handbook serves as a roadmap to where I’ve been and also where I’m going. I can look back at any time, and actually see that I’ve made progress, that I’m not the same person who started coaching with you, that together, we’ve made major changes!
(4) What were the results you got from working together?
Well, I am not done working together, but so far, the results from working together have been extraordinary and vary from a reduced level of anxiety for me to an increase in my level of visibility in the workplace such that I was confidently able to ask for a raise this past year. I also had the opportunity to manage a friendship that was detrimental to me, by placing boundaries where they needed to be, and strengthening other friendships.
I am learning to, definitely, be more assured, be more confident, in both my motherhood and career journeys, to stand up for myself, and to build better boundaries overall. I am also learning to take steps for my own self-care while managing those relationships that are most important to me.
(5) What would you tell someone considering working with me?
Talk to Gaëlle, see if you are a good fit, trust your intuition. I trusted my intuition, for sure, and I have the most fabulous coach in the world in Gaëlle!
Gaëlle is compassionate and kind; she listens well and reflects back to you what you need to hear in an honest and direct manner; Gaëlle does not waste your time; and, importantly to me, Gaëlle knows people, such that she can teach you how to establish boundaries and communicate with the people, good and bad, in your own life.
If you hire Gaëlle, which I wholly encourage you to do, you will have a true teammate and source of inspiration at all times. She has a brilliant mind and is a good friend, in addition to being an excellent coach.”
Making an impact starts by choosing to make a difference for you so you can help others.
Like we say, you have to fill your cup before helping others.
The truth is, your cup must be in overflow, first and foremost.
The next step?
Trust yourself. Your intuition is your best GPS to navigate the world.
Make a decision and commit to it.
What is this decision for you, Gorgeous?
With love
Gaëlle
P.S.: Only two coaching and mentoring spots are available to work with me privately. If you want to be visible and make an impact as an inspirational leader, I invite you to book a session: https://calendly.com/gaelle-berruel/inspireleadimpact
